Aerospace Education

The Civil Air Patrol conduct two types Internal and External. Internally we teach both senior members and cadets about everything from the origins of flight and the theory of flight to space flight. For the cadets this is done as part of the Cadet Program through the use of both take home materials that they are tested on and by classes conducted at the weekly meetings.

External Aerospace Education is completed in various ways. The Civil Air Patrol has programs in place to assist teachers  with materials for all grade levels that can integrated into their normal lesson plans. We also reach out and participate in information booths at air shows, conventions for home schooling, as well as both provide and use STEM kits. If you are an educator and would like more information on what the Civil Air Patrol can help you with please visit the websites at the links below. You can also contact the Wallops Composite Squadron Commander via email at joseph.parlett@vawg.cap.gov for more information.
